Mocavero Winery
Explore, enjoy, fall in Love.
In the southernmost part of Puglia, where Italy ends, there is a land where seas meet with steepy cliffs and tropical beaches. A land where, on the same day, you can see the sun rising on the Adriatic Sea and setting on the Ionian. A land that is pleasant just like its people and its climate in summer nights. This is Salento!
It is here that the Winery was set up in 1950, even if the little great history of the Mocavero family and its old traditions could be told already in the early years of the 20th century, always surrounded by wines and must. Only with a good wine you can better appreciate the good side of life.
This is how the passion for good wine of Francesco and Marco Mocavero began, who with their father Pietro, produce wine. Experience makes their work and their wines precious. The taste of old flavours that have been passed on, the passion of humble authentic people and the quality of precious grapes can only be appreciated by opening a bottle of wine from the Mocavero wine cellars. Mocavero wines are now a guarantee both in Italy and abroad. Today Francesco and Marco, following tradition and innovation, meticulously select with great taste the best grapes, producing high quality wines, such as Santufili, Puteus, Tela di Ragno and Curti Russi, all wines that can be found in the best wine cellars all over the world. Tradition, passion, quality, dedication and self-denial have made it possible for the Mocavero Company to receive numerous awards.

Nations that taste our wines
The echoes, the glimmers, the breezes of two seas, which seem to meet mid-air. It all becomes clear, as if drawn closer by some opticall effect, and at the same time illusionary. One seems also to be at sea, if the eyes are raised in contemplation of the clouds, which gallop between the Adriatico and Ionian seas. Salento is a breezy land of mirage, it is fascinating, and full af tenderness and it will remain in my memory more as an imaginary journey than a real one.
